The old saying goes the only way to eat a whale is one step at a time. How often does the task set before you never begin because of the thought that it will never get done. If you have a lot of weight to lose for example and know that it will most likely take as long to take it off as it did to put it on. Now you have a long road ahead of you. If you run to fast fatigue and injury will prevent you from continuing. Only by extreme patience can you make it safely to the end. My advice is to do your best every day and let the future worry about itself. You can not become thin today, but you can get some excercise into your muscles and some nutrients into your stomach. You cannot become financially independent today, but you can refrain from buying that unnecessary thing you have been thinking about. The Bible backs me up "Take no thought for tomorrow, for tomorrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient for each day is the trouble thereof." What will you be in the future? You cannot say. But who you are today will definitely effect who you are tomorrow.  I firmly believe that who you are on the inside will match your destiny. It's my philosophy that those who are awesome on the inside will lead the most awesome lives. Not necessarily though the happiest are most successful but the most worthwhile. The kind of life where they will not be ashamed to stand before God at the end. What am I saying, that a person internal state apart from Christ will give them confidence before God? No instead it's that good spirit inside of them comes from God. I believe this is what is meant in the psalms when David says "my cup runneth over." Also "one thing have I desired and that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple." If you are familiar with the Holy Spirit it is good advice for you to try to spend some time in the spirit every day.. If your are constantly filled with the spirit then I have to say I envy you. And you are sure to make that long trip safely. Anyway God Bless- Jeff
